Review by hotel critic
As an outdoor adventure blogger with a keen eye for value amidst luxury, my recent stay at Piccolo in Verona was certainly eye-opening. The hosts, Marina and Giuseppe, create a welcoming atmosphere, guiding guests through the apartment's features upon arrival. I appreciated the full kitchen, inclusive of all necessary cookware and utensils, which enhanced our self-catering experience. The bed was comfortable, and the shower quickly became a highlight, equipped with ample towels and a selection of well-smelling toiletries that certainly elevate the experience without inflating costs. While the apartment might be a 30-minute stroll from the city center, the pleasant walk allowed us to soak in the local charm. Plus, the free parking made it a convenient choice for those driving. In terms of value versus luxury, Piccolo strikes a balance; you get a clean and well-equipped space that feels like home without breaking the bank. If you find value in self-sufficiency while traveling, this gem could be a wise choice while visiting Verona.
